I didn't expect it, but I actually liked it. It has a Monty Python vibe that I really loved. The animation is quite good, with some occasional details that managed to surprise me. Overall, perhaps it may not be perfect, but as far as tone and comedic intent goes, I think you hit the nail on the head. Great work !

Lambtaco responds:

Thanks. I was thinking more Looney Tunes when I was making it, but that's mostly because of the lack of dialogue resulting in a need for expressive animation. With the book ends on it I can definitely see the Monty Pythonness (the accent especially). That and the Life of Brian silly Christianity stuff without explicitly mocking or condemning anything by name.

Thanks again.

Very good

This is a very interesting and well designed interactive tutorial. Very usefull for amateur musicians looking for a quick learning tool. Excellent !

Darkmaster603 responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Great job on your RAC entry too, I loved it. Means a lot coming from a musician such as yourself!

Thanks for the review!

Excellent

Perfect animation, voice acting and music. That's the coolest twist ending ever, they should use it in Saw VI, since they've been running out of ideas since Saw III. I actually wished this was longer though, so if you have another longer script, go for it. Looking forward for more ! Great work !

Great fun

Very original and well executed concept that is at once great fun and occasionaly frustrating. I thought the collision detection for jumping on those platforms was kind of harsh, but maybe it was on purpose. Overall, though clearly I had to go through some of the scenes several times, I think the difficulty was just right, not too hard, not too easy. One of the few games on the portal that I actually played all the way. Congratulations !

Fun !

Simple but solid. Surprisingly fun to play, but doesn't really have a lasting appeal. Good Work !

Great stuff here ! I love Crimson Tide and Hans Zimmer's music for that movie, and your tribute is just spot on. The instrumentation and the overall tone are a great reflection of what I loved about Zimmer's music. This is a great tribute. Good work !

Great

I like it, it gives out a great vibe. The beat is cool and the overlapping synths flow smoothly through the track. However, it does sound kind of harsh. I think there's something off with the sound quality, like the recording quality or maybe the mixing. The high pitched sounds seem too sharp as opposed to how muffled the rest sounds. And I think I can hear some clipping too. But overall, the song is great. Everything is in the right place, minus the mixing. Keep up the great work !

thanks for the review popraz!!!! you da man

Epic

I love how you obtain the epic effect without overdoing it. Reminds me a bit of the Syberia games. It's hauntingly beautiful. I can't think of much else to say. All I can do is close my eyes and let the music paint the picture. It also sounds great, mixing is handled well, just a little clipping I noticed in one part, but in my opinion it's not enough to affect the rest of the song. Excellent work, and good luck at the contest !

PenguinSam responds:

Thank you!

And I think I just have to agree with the clipping. That was the loudest spot of the entire piece, so the clipping was inevitable.

I am very glad that you enjoyed this piece!

<PS>

Amateur composer and film-buff. That about sums it up.
